| Can't wait for this show. Love the new cd and can't wait to hear the songs live. I'm waiting to hear on a photo pass for this show to shoot and write a review. I interviewed Doug (king's x) a few months back. Like what I see from both set lists. Should be an amazing show! |

| I just moved to Dallas about 2 and a half months ago. I know no one in this town yet, so I'm hitting the show solo. First time in my life I've gone to a show by myself, but there's no way I'm going to miss these two bands. I've only had the priviledge of seeing Extreme once, back in '90 or '91. I can't wait to go even if I'm rocking by myself. Anyone see a dude chilling by himself, feel free to come over and say hello! Can't wait for tonight. |

When I saw Extreme on the 12th in Charlotte it was the first time I had ever gone to a show alone too. I met so many people while standing in line and waiting for the show to start that I never felt alone. I even had emails waiting for me from some of the people I met when I got home. Extreme fans are like one big family and you'll be swept up into the frenzy in no time!! Enjoy and let us know what you think! _________________ Tina |

| Thanks for the kind words. I'll definitely let you know. I actually work for AEG, so the concert world is what brought me down here in the first place. Can't wait! |

Woo hoo! I'm set up with a photo pass for tonight's show. So I'll have a review and picture in the September issue of the Harder Beat. I also did an interview with Doug (King's X) in the July issue, for you King's X fans. You can check it out at http://www.harderbeat.com
Maybe I'll see some of you at the show tonight! |

Just got home from the show. Incredible! I didn't write down the setlist, but they played what appears to be the standard, more or less set....From what I can remember, and in no order, they played...
Comfortably Dumb
Star
Ghost
Take Us Alive
The First Album Medley
Warheads
Rest In Peace
Cupid's Dead
Am I Ever Gonna Change
Decadence Dance
Get The Funk Out
More Than Words
Flight Of The Wounded Bumble Bee
Hole Hearted
Tell Me Something I Don't Know
Midnight Express
I left during Hole Hearted, as I figured it was the last song of the show, so if they played something after that, I missed it.
Dug Pinnick came out during Get The Funk Out and sang with Nuno, which was very cool. They seemed to be in great spirits and having fun. The room wasn't very full, but the crowd that was there was totally into it. Sorry for not more of an in depth review, but it's off to bed. Great great show. |

that was a really specail night, first off both me and my wife got front row seats in front of the stage, no fighting nothing, the guys put on an amazing show, well apart from gary messing pats bass up, then afterward, me and the wife hung around to meet the band, an hour later they come up and we get to meet them. now i dont know about an of you guys, but i have been waiting 15 years to meet the band, and trust me when i say it was pretty freaking amazing, today all i can do is talk about it, im walking on air at the moment, its like the forth amazing thing that has ever happened to me( getting married to my wife and having 2 kids where the other 3 things, just in case you wanted to know)
one last thing i took about 400 pics on my phone and i will put some up here when i have the time : ) |

A friend who lives in TX sent me this review today via email
------------------
my review from le concert from last night:
LOVED, the orchestration they played as the intro, to the concert from rise n shine.
in a nutshell it was a great concert-kings x was a great opener, IMO.
Gary missed his queue, for warheads-missed the first line. no biggie.
before the show, my friend steve was telling me about a song they did on bill and ted's soundtrack, and said it was crazy...i never heard it- well, he freaked when they played it about 1/2 way thru the show. yeah it was crazy.
wish they played hip today. great version of get the funk out. ended with mutha.
they all sounded great-i liked the simple stage set up. it was perfect. pretty packed crowd too. HOB was a perfect venue for them.

The Dallas Show was unbelievable. The musicianship was on a higher lever than anything I have ever heard from this band. Nuno has the talent and stanima of athletes half his age. The best part? The band and the audience seemed to have this giddy smile during the whole performance. Those of us who have known of this band from the beginning knew how special last night's Dallas show was.
And you have to love Kings X. I am so glad they toured together, they sort of "fit". Best show I have ever seen. Ever. And I have seen a lot.
Please someone in the media get a clue. The world of REAL rock and roll doesn't begin and end with Metallica. Maybe it takes a musician at heart to appreciate what Nuno is to the guitar, but man o man. What a tight performance from everyone. The new drummer was SO good. Gary sang his heart out. It was a real treat for longtime Extreme fans.
Just found out the band came out after the show for a meet and greet. And I didn't know they'd do that. Wow. Can't believe I missed that one time opportunity. |

Dallas was awsome. I know there were a third group but I didnt expected that kind of represantation. Local Musicians with Rock stars.
Kip Winger / Winger / Bass
Mark Slaughter / Slaughter / Singer
Glen Hughes / Deep Purple / Bass
Gilby Clark / Guns n Roses / Guitar
Eliot Easten / Cars/ Guitar
Dave Ellefson / Megadeth / Bass
Chris Slade / AC/DC / Drumm
those are the once I remember.
Cause I saw them walking around. First I thougth its just my imagination when I saw Gilby I even thought Im at the wrong concert but no it was great all those people opened for EXTREME.
here and there were few stuff happening but it didnt let the guys take there fun on stage.
Specialy Nuno didnt took it so serious when something dont work on stage like he used to.( I remember him yelling at the Techs in the back) Maybe it was the glass of wine that Thom gave him or maybe the second glass
I was front row on Nunos site before the show startet and King X was still playing there where some "older"people, dudes, screaming when King-X was playing "We love u " ect. I thought I am crazy but those dudes oh my good. I was just waiting till my turn came to be crazy and I sure was
fritzchris the last song was:
Mama dont wana go to school today
I wasnt expecting another song after hole heartet eather but they did it. They had fun and I think maybe they wanted to make up for the other song that didnt work well.
Even when Pat Bass went down. Gary and Nuno looked at each other starten talking and jaming. I think KFigg was kind of lost what to do but they jammed till Pat Bass was fixed better to say exchanged. His plug was hanging behind his bottom (was kind of funny)
I know shouldnt laugh about it but sorry it was.
Im already sad that that was so far the last show on this Tour.
I dont wana make any anouncments but hopefully the plan of coming back on tour next year will happen.
Of course they will look in to any options but it would be great if Extreme would be the headliner and not the opener for another band.
Because only 45min Extreme is not enough. |
