Since Charlotte is the closest tour city to me, this is likely the show I'll see.
Anyone else planning to be there? |

| This is several dreams come true. 1) Extreme reunited, touring, and a new CD. I have never seen them play live before. 2) Playing with King's X. KX is great. I have seen them live about 15 times. I can't wait for the show in Charlotte, NC. I hope I get to meet them. |

My husband's band has played there. It's a bar with a big stage in a large open area where people stand to watch the shows. There are tables to sit and pool tables in other areas, but you won't be able to see the stage well in those areas.
Here's a website:
http://www.amossouthend.com/
This show should be awesome, as the cd is being released on the same date! _________________ http://www.myspace.com/maryakam2 |

Anyone know what ticket sales are like for the show? I moved to Charlotte from Philly awhile agoand I'm curious to see if the true rock fans come out here in the South:)
I'll be there, I know that! |

I think he's asking if there's a way to find out how many tickets have sold for this show. I emailed the venue a few weeks ago and never got a response...in fact, I think my email was returned saying the recipient's inbox was full.
And their phone is usually just a recording if I remember correctly from when my hubby's band played there. _________________ http://www.myspace.com/maryakam2 |

| Thanks for posting the setlist. It's very nice to see that they played King of the Ladies because of public demand. You have a good night and we'll hear from you later. |

How did the play King Of The Ladies(singing wise)
sounds to me on the record Nuno does the verses and Gary joins him on the chorus
How did they do it live - can'timagine an Extreme show with Gary not being on the stage |

I still to this day am not sure - but it has the Nuno sound - ya know difficult to explain but I call it "the nostril effect"
Sometimes sounds live Nuno has a blocked nose or something when he sings |

All I know is, the second verse sounds very different than the first. And third one is Nuno again for sure. Why would they put Nuno sing the second verse with that different tone. Well, I'm not to argue, it might be Nuno. |

I wasn't sure it was Nuno (I thought it could have been Pat - as it doesn't sound like Gary either) but listen to the last line of that verse "Oh Candy, oh would you save me?" that is Nuno (for me) for sure - the accent on the "ME" sound like him !!!!! |

Hearing more from *M2 after her sleep might reveal something of this. It could also be Pat. In headbanger's ball '92 Pat did say when interviewed that he would like to sing lead vocals on a Extreme tune in the future. Maybe it just took him 16 years to finally do that. |

Nuno and Gary both sing ALL of the verses together, and they do three-part harmony on the chorus. |

Ta-da! Thanks, Johnpav!
I kept listening and listening.... I knew that Nuno was singing lead, but that someone was doubling his melody line, an octave above, but I wasn't sure if it was Pat or Gary. To me, it sounded like Nuno sang lead the whole way through, but it sounded like Gary and Pat switched off on that upper octave. That's the part that sounded different to me.
Nice to have that mystery solved!
Oh, and I'm sooooo jealous that y'all got to hear it live!!! |
