I hope there will be additional US dates. It looks like you overlooked the entire state of Virginia. I could at least make the trek to D.C. or Charlotte NC, but it looks like Baltimore is as close as it gets right not and that's too far considering gas. Please, please, please play the Norva in Norfolk or at least someplace in DC. |

| I wish they were playing a DC date as well (not the least because it can be hard to see at Rams Head), but at least the Bmore date is on a Saturday. I'm in Virginia and I'm heading up - maybe we should start an Extreme carpool. |

No shows in Philadelphia either. Boo, hiss. Gotta make a 2 hour trek to see the band. Not many bands I would do that for except Zep & The Who--but I never have to with them. Last time Nuno was in Philly was like 10 years ago and on a side note, I've never seen him there--always have had to travel at least 2 hours to his shows |

I believe now it is on sale. I just spoke on the phone with a friend of mine who is in Baltimore and he said now he could get it for $37 or something like that. I am trying to talk him into going to that concert. basically to convert him into an Extreme-head! |

Not that hard to do. I converted my son who, in turn, converted all of his friends! |

Got my ticket!
I've only been to this place once, to see Weird Al last year, and we had seats on the bleachers upstairs. I want to have a better view for *this* show. Anyone have any feedback on what the downstairs is like? I'm wondering if I should just make a beeline for the 2nd level and hug the railing so I can have a clear view down to the stage... |

| I think the best view is from the 2nd floor on the rail - unfortunately if you're not on the rail, you can't really see. Most of the downstairs offers unobstructed views, but it can get crowded and/or moshy. |

I'm from VA also, and been kicking myself for years for missing them when they came to the Boathouse in Norfolk. I wish they would come closer, and preferably to VA, but I'll make the trip up to Baltimore if I have to. |

Here's a map from the Rams Head page:
http://www.ramsheadlive.com/directions.htm
Here's a page with a bunch of hotels near the harbor:
http://www.baltimore.to/lodging/index.html
How are you traveling, Macarena? If you're walking, I'd stay within the area on the Rams Head map. Just a couple of blocks away from the inner harbor, the neighborhoods get a bit "uncomfortable" after dark. If you're a little further west on Pratt Street, you'd be okay walking. That's a heavily-traveled street even after dark--there are bars and restaurants along the way, so there are people out and about. Especially if there's a night baseball game that night. I wouldn't go any further west than the baseball stadium, though. Just checked the Orioles schedule--they're out of town the night of the Extreme show, so I'd definitely not go any further than the stadium if you're walking. (That's good news for anyone driving, BTW. Trying to find parking at the Inner Harbor the night of an Orioles game can be a bit of a nightmare.) If you're driving, of course, it opens up lots of other options for you.
Feel free to PM me if you need more help. I don't live in Baltimore, but it's just up the road and I'm up that way a bit. Will be there on Friday evening for a concert, in fact! |

| I have not been to Power Plant in a while. My friends and I are considering pre-gaming at some bars there before we head over to Ram's Head Live. Does anyone have recommendations? I am familiar with the Harbor but we want to check out Power Plant. Thanks. |

| Also, any word on whether they'll do a "meet-n-greet" at this event? Thanks. |

Folks keep asking about meet-n-greets as if they're something that you just walk into. Are they actually done that way for other venues? In my experience, you only get into a meet-n-greet if you have a pass...whether you've won it from a radio station, gotten if from someone who works in the biz, or from someone in/affiliated with the band. You can't just walk into them. There's also the method that Blondie mentioned in another thread, where the meet-n-greet is included in a special package that you pay for above and beyond the cost of the ticket.
Do some artists really do "open" meet-n-greets? Cause I wanna follow *them* around for awhile! |

With Rock Camp selling packages that include 45 mins of MnG with Extreme, I doubt there will be public MnG.
I doubt there would be anyway. These guys have a pretty rigorous schedule , with a lot of consecutive gigs.
They're really nice guys, and plenty accessible for a rock band, but they need some way to cut it off. Otherwise Gary wouldn't be able to sing by the time the show starts. |

| I live in B-more and where Ram's Head is located is right by a bunch of clubs/bars. Angel's Rock Bar, Howl at the Moon, Iguana Cantina. Plenty to do after the show lets out for those who like to party til the wee hours. |

Bob Dallas always *tried* to make Gary behave after the shows. They all tended to be super-nice with the fans, but Gary especially seemed to thrive on that contact.
We used to take turns doing Bob Dallas fan-instruction impersonations: "No hugs, no kisses. Photos of, no photos with." (All with a raspy 2-pack-a-day voice. ) We even recited it along with Bob once or twice. Gary usually ignored him. (Which is probably why Gary ends up sick occasionally on tour...) |

I called the box office and they had no sort of VIP or Meet N' Greet ticket available. She said it is up to the band to decide how available they make themselves. |
