For months now I want to create for us a multi-person text chat that we can use to talk about things that are important for us.

Forum is good -- because what we write here -- stays here. But chat will give us quicker responce and sometimes it's very important.

HOW OFTEN?

As I see -- we could chat once a week on Saturday or Sunday. It would be nice to pick such a time that is "waking time" for most of us. It means US and Europe. Also we have some friends in Malaysia - would be great if they join us too.

WHAT TIME?

Maybe we could set time slots for
"US-Europe" 07:00-Kiev = 09:00-London = 21:00-Vancouver
and "Europe - Asia" (time will be set when there'll be interest in it)
and "US - Asia" (time will be set when there'll be interest in it)

Kiev, Ukraine (where I live) is GMT+2
London is GMT 0
Vancouver, Canada (And Los Angeles, USA) is GMT-8
Tokyo, Japan is GMT+9

WHAT TO USE?

My question is: what is the best chat tool for us to use?
I know that Qin has some group meditations through chat. Is it through Yahoo Messenger? Does it support multi-person?

I know that Skype supports multi-person chat.

Or maybe we could just use a multi-color chat on some free site? I remember looking around and seeing some...
What would you advice?

If you add other members to your friends list on Yahoo messenger, you can open a conference and then invite all of them

The idea is great btw.

Sounds great Kostya will try adn make it but no promises, I just want to mention that the chat site only supports Internet Explorer at thos time so those of us who use firfox will need to use explorer.

Well, we (Chuchi, Roberta, Tortue and me) had a nice chat. I'll place some edited excerpts from it into my blog.

Just now I noticed that a minute ago Shalala came into the chat too. But it seems he doesn't see me.

Some people at the MaMa forum lamented that they couldnt enter the room.
Qin suggested to move the chat to Skype, from what I can see Skype 3.0 (not yet release will be a very good choice)

Otherwise, Skype 2.5 the current version support multi person chat but then people need to be on your list, I think.

Can't register at Magic Machines forum. It seems that my account needs to be activated by Administrator. I did a second registrations and it says:

What happened to those from MaMa who couldn't login? Did they enter a nickname and password love7 ? What browserd did they use?

Yup.
I, for instance don't have a skype.
What ws the problem with this one?
Maybe it requires some sort of flash-player?
I know many sites do.
