considering this is 20 minutes from me, I guess I'm gonna see if I can make it
actually the real debate is whether to go to the nokia as well. ticket prices will be a big factor.
I'm just happy that these shows are the week before I go away and not the week of. made it by 2 days as opposed to last year when I missed the LI show by 1 day (but still caught them at the fillmore/irving plaza. |

Anyone know how far this is---realistically---from Jersey? Is it a horrendous drive? _________________ In replay, you just see it over and over... |

| where in jersey are you? as far as long island goes, this isn't very far into it. probably an hour from manhattan during an average rush hour (could be a lot more if it's a bad night). |

That's what I was afraid of. I'm about 10 miles from Manhattan, but even that drive takes upward of 2 hours some nights. _________________ In replay, you just see it over and over... |

awesome show tonite!!
quickly tried to see other cities set lists to see if they had played interfaith which they did tonite albeit a shorter version but who can complain when they throw a new hit into the mix... threw it in the acoustic section of the show and led into mtw. still think it could be a hit on mainstream but then the public will continue its erred analysis of extreme being a pop band... NOT!!
sick energy into the show... k-fig hits those drums so damn hard.
seemed like they had a few technical problems, especially with hole hearted where k-fig had to go back to his kit and finish up instead of his portable bass. nuno actually played guitar and bass while fig walked back to his kit.
nuno seemed a bit pissed that people were sitting down during the show and i can't blame them....
heard a lot of chit chat between sets of how nuno flies under the radar.. he is truly a guitar god...
all in all...... they rock.... amazing to see how much energy gary throws into a show when after just 6 minutes in he's drenched in sweat.
can't wait until the dvd comes out!! |

yeah, another great show. while nuno did make his usually sarcastic comment about people sitting down, gary accurately acknowledged that last nights crowd kicked nyc's ass!
right before interface, gary said that this was the first time they were playing the song. pretty sweet.
all in all, the band once again sounded great and despite nuno's comment, the crowd was really into it. ratt were also very good. it was a blast reliving my yout hearing out of the cellar in it's entirety. |

sit....at a concert.....sacrilege...always seem to have someone tall in front of me so couldn't if I wanted to.... Don't think will be seats at NH and Boston....down and dirty in GA.....lovin it.
Michelle
so hope to hear Interface and Ghost as well....MTW is beautiful, it 's what catapulted them to stardom....but after a zillion listens, and so many other awesome acoustic tunes at their fingertips...I think they can play it less frequently now...also Nuno, adore to the max Midnight Express...but my dream is to hear you do Broken live......please...(Interface was a DG song...so...how bout it... ) _________________ " When someone says it's the principal of the thing, not the money...its usually the money " |

I understand about the sitting at concerts thing. but this theater is very conducive to sitting. the artists is very much in a fish bowl setting. pretty intimate place. almost has an "elvis 1968 comeback speacial" vibe to it.
that being said, the majority of the crowd did stand for ratt, but I don't think that they were more vocal. especially since ratt was the headliner and there were a few more people (not that much more) during there set. |

hmm didn't they do bits of Interface in Japan last year or something?
if it's still not the whole song then it doesn't count for me, hehe. But that's cool too. _________________ Destination still unknown

so foolish to write "interfaith" instead of "interface".. my bad.. those 24 ouncers kicked in as i wrote..
would have loved to hear HALF of king of the ladies..
also enjoyed the sarcastic banter that nuno brings to every show.... he strives for perfection which is how he got to be so good..
...the interrupting of pat's playing as a payback for pat interrupting him after bumblebee blending in with the intro of get the funk out..
.. the verbal jabs at gary for "leaving the band"....
..introducing a 'new song' and playing intro to stairway to heaven (perfectly) and mumbling "man, i wish i wrote that song"..
i would hope that those are spur of the moment events and not something they do every night..
i have read about the 'rushed feel of the show'.. its definitely there. nuno seemed to look at his wrist a few times as if to say "lets go"...
saw them twice last year in nyc and cincy and it was a much more comfortable feel between band and fans but thenagain...... seeing gary high five fans and nuno chugging a fans beer couldn't be done at soem of these other shows..
boston: have a blast at their dvd filming... |

The "Stairway" joke was being done on the tour last year! And I'm pretty sure the thing with Pat on Get The Funk Out is done every night too. It's all good though, it always sounds fresh and original.

Thank for the vids, I like the seeing of the whole stage
And i didn't notice that the stage was round! in other vids.
Do they have this on every show or was it a " local" stage? |
