Looks like I'm definitely going to this one, since the "local" date for me is smack-dab in the middle of my vacation.

I canceled my 10am dental appointment for tomorrow, so I can make sure I get a ticket as soon as they go on sale. I am such an irresponsible dork for this band. Embarassed

hey first time poster here,i live in cheswick,and can and will walk to the show.the ches a rena was an old time roller rink,only used to skate or rent out to roller hockey groups.then it was sold to a guy who tried to change it to a rap club (club gravity)didnt work,cops there every night.so this show is the first one since its closing.the show is gen addmission and i dont think there are seats.as for hotels the town next to us is called harmarville (or to everyone else it is harmar)there is a comfort inn and a days inn ,it is about two miles straight on the main road from the arena (do not stay at the valley hotel aka our towns crackhouse/ hookerhouse)p.s if you come the day of the show (from the airport or southside)give yourself more time cause there is construction work on 28 north itwould be a shame to come all the way from where you live to miss the show

i also forgot the ches a rena is located above the local goodwill in a shopping center so dont worry about parallel parking it has a huge parking lot.

Karmakazi, thanks for the information!! Especially since I had no idea about where to stay. I lived in Pittsburgh for 4 school years, but it was in a college dorm, so I know nothin' 'bout hotels and such. Laughing

When I goofed around on Yahoo! Travel and Trip Advisor a few days ago, it looked like Harmarville was a good bet.

ringocat22,the chesa rena /goodwill are the same building,and the little driveway is the ramp to the doors for the chesarena.(above the goodwill)it is in a big shopping center .to the left of the arena is a pretty big parking lot im guessing 150 parking spots?but i dont know how many tix they are selling to this show.i hope everyone gets a spot to park

I'll be there, coming in from Columbus, Ohio and bringing my 16 year old brother who I turned on to the band last year. He wasn't able to make the shows last summer so he can't wait and neither can I!

just foundout since this place is new (for concerts),they may not have a licence to sell alcohol...guess we will find out that night

just found out that the shopping center parking lot is charging 10.00 to park for event parking....good thing i am walking.

Quick report in. I need to hit the shower then make the drive home.

The show--once it started--was AWESOME!!! I love the fact that the guys look like they're having so much fun onstage together. I'm not sure who had a better time during the show: the band or the fans. Smile

It felt like we were waiting forever to get in the venue. The staff kept coming out to announce that the doors would open later...and later...and later. Turns out that the building lost power! They were pretty sure that the show would have to be cancelled. Thankfully the power was finally restored.

Hopefully someone else will flesh this out. My brain still isn't fully functional (need. more. coffee.). I think some of my photos turned out well. Will try to get them loaded to my Flickr page in the next day or so. Ringocat got some fanfreakingtastic shots, so look for her post!

Many thanks to the guys for their usual awesomeness, and many thanks and a couple cases of beer to their crew, who had to schlepp all the equipment up and down a darn long set of stairs!
