Yeah I rang Newcastle City Hall Box Office direct for my Tickets, there's a £1.50 charge per ticket but they mail them to you straight away. I bought my tickets on Friday and recieved the Tickets yesterday. At least by speaking to someone I knew what seats I could get, which you cant always do online.
The website for City Hall is http://www.newcastle.gov.uk/cityhall
and the Tel no for Box Office is 0191 2612606
24 hour Information Tape 0191 2320007
I hope this helps _________________ Extreme rocked, Newcastle City Hall gig was amazing!!! Thanks to Gary for the Nuno Signature plec he gave me (Nuno dropped it) and thanks to Gary, Nuno, Pat and Kevin for signing my CD cover before you left the stage |

I aim to please.
I think the staff at City Hall were sick of me, I rang on Thurs night to query why tickets went on sale an hour earlier online, i was told half the venues seats are allocated to sell online, the other half are sold through the box office. I asked if there was any way to guarantee seats before they went on sale (cheeky but worth a try) and was told I had to ring up when the went on sale. I also asked if they knew of any after show meet and greet or party but they didn't know.
On the Fri i was rediling non stop from 9:55 untill the box office opened at 10 so I was the first person they answered to and was rewarded with 2 front row seats smack bang in the middle of the stage.
I'm now ringing everyone I know who might be able to help me get to meet the band on the night. I missed out the last time they were in the UK so I'm not planning on missing anything this time lol _________________ Extreme rocked, Newcastle City Hall gig was amazing!!! Id love to meet up for drinks with people but I don't know If I'll have a babysitter a few hours before the show, If I'm lucky I might get out for an hour before but we'll have to wait and see, babysitters are a nightmare lol _________________ Extreme rocked, Newcastle City Hall gig was amazing!!! Just to let you know, when I was booking the tickets for this show, the operator in the Box Office warned me that the stage was 'very high'. The technical info section of the Hall's website states that the stage is 1.541 meters high. Dunnery commented in THIS THREAD that the stage was quite high, and to avoid the front handful of rows. I've emailed the city hall about the height of the stage to see if they can confirm what's on their site, coz 1.5m isn't that high. The front row is a fair bit back from the stage anyway. Does anybody else know what the height of the stage is, or would 1.5m be right? _________________

Hi guys, new to the forum so please bear with me.
I've been to a few concerts at City Hall and have been as close as in the 4th row, the stage is higher than you would normally expect at such a venue but your view from the front row will be fantastic. Depending on how heavy handed the stewards are you may find yourselves swamped at some point during the gig by those from the rows behind you so guard that prized front row space at all costs.
Looking forward to the gig, haven't seen Extreme for years, last time I think was Monsters of Rock at Donnington. Prepare to be rocked..... and deafened, they will be loud especially at the City Hall.

Hey Macarena. I'm in seat D19 + D20. Hopefully we can meet in Lisbon, and I'll see you again in Newcastle and Glasgow. How are you getting round the UK? Are you hiring a car? _________________

My response from Newcasle City Hall re height of the stage:
| Quote: | The height of the stage is 4ft8" but because the front row is on a
reverse rake away from the stage the height from the front row is just
over 5ft
Thanks

My tickets are for Row E, Seats 33 and 34.
As it's a Monday night and I can't take time off work for these things, may go easy on the drink. However, will definatley have a couple of beers, and the best (sorry, only) rock bar that's half way decent in Newcastle is Trillians. It's only about 5 mins walk from the City Hall as well so would be perfect for you out-of-towners. If you want directions then let me know.
Reason for Trillians being good? Only pub I've ever heard a MW track blasting out of the speakers! |
